It also seems that there are 2 tickets covering this already: RT-3698 and RT-3694, which don't seem to be completely resolved yet.

you are right, this is clearly a problem of compatibility of several Office versions installed side by side.

Unfortunately, the PXVLib-conversion from PPT to PDF broke down another time just now. This happened after starting Visio 2003, which triggered an automatic repair of Office 2003, which in turn probably broke the PXVLib functionality. I indeed found, and simply uninstalled, "PDF-XChange Standard V6" (probably an unintended leftover) via the Windows "Add or remove programs" function -- and the toolbar is gone.

I use "System Scale" in the UI Scale settings (with Windows set to 200% dpi), and Resolution: "Automatic: 192 dpi" on many 24" 4K monitors, and everyting (UI and document) is scaled to pixel perfection.

I see Arnold -- it seems that this happened starting from here . I hope that the developers still can find a way to include one's Split View status in the settings, for the reasons explained above .
