I'll provide feedback on anything further that comes up. Negative OR positive.
Yes, we should "close" this for now.
Kind regards,
AL

Re: PDF Exchange V4 PRo SDK with Windows 11
Daniel Just an update on this. I remotely observed the actual install on the customer's PC. Actually, it turned out to be ... a MAC , running a Windows 11 emulator. The PDF Xchange 4 driver "seemed" to install and did not throw an error, but it did NOT show up at all in the list of install...

Re: PDF Exchange V4 PRo SDK with Windows 11
Understood, Daniel.
I'll dig deeper.
If I need to upgrade to the current version of the SDK, I assume *that* would work OK in Windows 11?

PDF Exchange V4 PRo SDK with Windows 11
Greetings.
Our software has been using the SDK v4.0 for years, through the various Windows releases.
I just got a failure reported by a customer who got a new Windows 11 PC.
Can you confirm that the SDK-supported software will / should run in Win-11?
Thanks, AL

PDF Xchange SDK - MERGE PDF's and use with Pure Basic?
Hello and greetings, I haven't been (haven't needed to be) on this forum since I deployed Version 4 SDK Pro. It's been solid, used with VB6 app. I am now looking at doing another program, in Pure Basic, and use PdfXchange (latest version) to handle PDF's. Will need to upgrade, obviously. Questions: ...

Is there a conflict between PDFX 4 and Acrobat 11?
We're not saying there is a PDFX 4 problem, but we have just been told of a problem by a customer. He runs our program (which uses PDFX 4 build 165 ... yes not the latest I know...) and it just sits there - does nothing... I mention Acrobat 11 because he just installed that on his PC, and it may hav...

Re: PDFF Xchange 4 conflict with older SDK
Stefan I hope we can resolve this 'seamlessly'. Right now I have uninstalled the PDF X4 standalone from my PC and cannot use it as it 'breaks' my apps created with the 165 SDK. Worse, if 167 (and future 168, etc?) standalone PDF X4 releases break my apps based on SDK 165, there is a serious issue as...

Re: PDFF Xchange 4 conflict with older SDK
John Here procedure is where the options are set (there is 1 other line, repeated at the end..) Seems OK to me, all pretty well copied from original Tracker code I believe. I wouldn't know where to verify otherwise. **I guess I suspect this is NOT my issue.** PS - Is Ver 1.65 of the 'stand alone' P...

PDFF Xchange 4 conflict with older SDK
Situation: My PC has PDF Xchange V4 SDK, used to work with our VB modules. It was installed as Build 165, and that's what my clients have installed per my distribution files. A few weeks ago I also bought the 'User version' of PDF Xchange 4, (Build 167), ostensibly to replace the Adobe Acrobat packa...

I'll try that and keep an eye on the results.
I'll also uninstall and re-install OFFICE just to be "clean".

Re: PDF XChange 4 crashes MS Office 2003
Using Windows XP SP2 MS Office 2003 is at SP3 It just failed again, a few minutes after I successfully use the 'Make PDF' button. Did not do anything unusual before the failure. I tested - I *CAN* print to PDF Xchange 4 from Word when the 'make PDF' button fails. Reinstalled PDF Xchange 4 - it's wor...

PDF XChange 4 crashes MS Office 2003
I have Office 2003 installed, and have purchased and installed PDF Xchange 4 (User version) on the same PC. After installing PDF Xchange 4, I can create a PDF from a Word or Excel document via the icon in the Word/Excel button bar, as expected. After a few days (or uses?), using the PDF Xchange's 'C...

Re: Error 429 – ActiveX component can’t create object
This is to clear up this post, so it is not carried forward as a PDF Xchange V4 problem. We found that the error 429 was due to the fact that PDF XChange V4 was NOT really present on the client's PC, hence when the progam wanted to create a virtual printer with V4, it failed. No fault of PDF Xchange...

Re: Error 429 – ActiveX component can’t create object
HI, I ASKED: Is the PXCComLib library part of the PDFX4SA_sm.exe install? YOUR ANSWER WAS: Yes, COM objects are included in pdfSaver4.exe and they are registered (via running pdfSaver4.exe /RegServer ) during installation. DID YOU MEAN TO SAY "... are included in PDFX4SA_SM ....." because ...

Error 429 – ActiveX component can’t create object
Hi, I am trying to resolve why customers are having trouble with my app, which has been recently revised from PDF XChange 3.0- to PDF Exchange 4.0. The V 3.0 code has worked flawlessly for over 2 years. It works fine on my PC (which has the development SDK), and also starts off working on client PC’...

Re: Adding page numbers to existing PDF
John,
I've got a solution using another tool. It adds the page numbers and maintains the orientation of the PDF without increasing the result PDF size by such a factor as PDF-XChange does. You may want to research this symptom of your tool.
Thanks

Registry Settings don't register
We have a VB6 application that creates PDFs from a number of sources and we use the Registry settings of the PDF-Xchange Print driver to hold the filename of the output PDF - see sample code KeyName = "Software\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange 4.0\Drivers\Control" res = RegCreateKey(HKEY_CURRE...
