Re: Common PDF template repository
I've tried the above method, but over time it results in the user have the same repository repeated over and over: image.png It seems that once the reg key is in place and called, like the example here "99999", when the application opens or closes that key is renamed to the next number ava...

Re: Odd print results from PDFX
Thanks for the detailed response Daniel. The printers we are using are Fuji Xerox FX ApeosPort-VII C2273's and C4473's we are using their PCL 6 driver Version 6.12.3.9. One test to a C2273 was using a Microsoft IPP class driver, I guess an MS Update installed driver? I'm not sure of the exact page i...

Test HA + DCP Combo - 2021 20-09-22 1418h.pdf I am also keen to try a few other things like rasterizing the pages. But first things first, if we can see the document we will be in a much better position to comment. It's still a long weekend for many. Looking forward to seeing the file. File attache...

Can we take it that the pages look OK when you view them in the app window and it is only when you try to print the pages that the difficulties arise? Re: Odd print results from PDFX
No worries, at your convenience, we will be here. A quick test if you would - in the Editor Print dialogue is an option to "Print as Image": image.png Does that help at all? Hi Paul, Thanks you, this does produce a good print but we find this method can cause issues with choking up our pr...

Re: Odd print results from PDFX
Thanks Team, Flattening the image via the layers menu didn't resolve the issue unfortunately. Is this the correct method? Print to XPS worked and the document displays correctly. I have limited options for other printers, so far results are negative. Same issue on 2 other printers. I'll check with t...

Re: Odd print results from PDFX
Sorry, that wasn't a great description from me. The PDF is generated from the Core-GS app (not "printed to pdf" from the app), then opened in PDFXchange and printed to a physical printer.

Odd print results from PDFX
Hi Team, Using licensed PDFX 9.4, 9.3 and 9.0, we have reports being generated by an application called Core-GS that aren't printing correctly. The grid lines in one section are out of place. I have tested with Adobe DC and Edge, both print correctly. Please see attached. I'm investigating with the ...

Updating endpoints - Can't get it to work
Hi Team, I'm trying to update our fleet but can't seem to get an unattended method to work. Currently I deploy PDFX via a super-simple: "PDFXVE9.exe /quiet /norestart" and apply the license via XCVault.exe. From the reading I've done updating should be as easy as running a newer exe correc...

Re: Licensing problem with roaming profiles - activation on each PC switch
Wow, really? I bought a license pack and there is no mention of this secret deployment method in the email that delivered the license. Might be worth updating your email template, I can only go on he information I have. Not many software vendors have hidden away enterprise features they don't tell u...

Re: Licensing problem with roaming profiles - activation on each PC switch
I have to agree, the new license requirement is a real pain. Our network has over 3000 discrete software packages, if we had to have a line in a logon script, group policy or reg hack for every one... It's not worth thinking about. I have a whole system to run and can't be nursing every piece of sof...

Re: PDFX closed unexpectedly - Recover changes to doc?
I should add, I can see the Document Recovery pane and it has nothing in it. Should I not expect to see something in here?
What exactly is PDFX saving every 5 mins if it's not changes to the doc?

PDFX closed unexpectedly - Recover changes to doc?
Hi Team, One of your staff lost a few hours on a document, PDF X somehow closed. The user thinks they did it somehow when fumbling keys. It appears PDFX is setup to save recovery data every 5 mins but I can't see anyway to get back to a previous version or whatever. How does this system work? Many t...

Re: Printing to specific page size without scaling
in case of transparent or masked images there might be an issue with Postscript drivers, and not all of them support transparent images. If you think it's worth the effort I can experiment with different files. So far I've only been trying with technical drawings that have been generated with 12d M...

I can confirm printing to the same printer from my workstation uses the same driver. The user has also tested sending to different printers around the office with the same result. Thanks Team, I appreciate the help. Please excuse the redaction in the screenshots provided. The printers we are using are: 3 x ApeosPort-V C4476 and 1 x C2276. Re: Printing to specific page size without scaling
Thanks Daniel, but really? That's the best we can do here? We paid good money for this product, you're going to have to try a bit harder than that. It's a whooooooole bunch cheaper and easier for me to find a new PDF product than reinstall 100+ workstations. I can't be the only IT guy who has just g...

Printing to specific page size without scaling
Hello, Our staff print plans and design drawings and require them to be printed to specific scale. We used to be able to select the appropriate pinter and paper size, then check Select Paper Size by Document's Page Size and this would just work but now appears to not work. When the aformentioned set...

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the reply, sorry for my delayed response! It does help but isn't quite what we're after.
