Re: Zoomfaktor for OpenDocFromPath

Hello, we have a good workaround for this. Directly before we open the pdf we can use PagesView.DefaultZoom to set the default zoom as a percentage or 0 for "Fit width". This way we do not really need to use opendocparams. We are still struggling to set "Fit page" as the default zoom. Is there any w...

Re: Newline breaks XFDF-import

Hello, FYI: we have implemented a workaround for this. In short, before we import any XFDF data, we always use the following formatting step: new XMLOutputter(org.jdom.output.Format.getCompactFormat()).outputString(annotsElement); (see http://www.jdom.org/docs/apidocs.1.1/org/jdom/output/Format.html...

Re: Newline breaks XFDF-import

Hello,
any news on this issue? As this problem would occur very frequently with our users, we need to decide if we have to implement a workaround.

Regards,

Re: Render only one document

Hello Sasha, thanks for your reply. We have been evaluating setting "Synchronous Page Rendering" to "Yes", but it does not seem to make too much of a difference (if at all). Please find attached our current preferences for rendering (Preferences-Rendering.jpg) and also a typical use case as a PDF (s...

Re: Render only one document

Hello Alex, I assure you that there are significant benefits to our approach, which have been verified in ten years of production. Our users look at a lot of drawings in one day (thousands, sometimes even tens of thousands). The size of the PDFs we are talking about here is DIN A2 (or larger). We al...

Hello again,
I hope I did not scare you with my last post, but that is the requirement me and AteBe are trying to fulfill.

Best regards,

Re: Render only one document

Hello, we have two viewing-modes. The user can switch between them: 1. Original viewing mode: The PDFs are delivered as is and displayed using PdfXChange Editor including smoothing. 2. Prescaled viewing mode: The PDFs are converted (on the server-side) in pure-image PDFs with exactly the correct res...

Newline breaks XFDF-import

I am using PDF-XChange Editor Version 7.0 (Build 328.2). It does not make a difference whether I try the following in the standalone editor or the SDK. When I use the file working.xfdf (see zip file attached) I see the expected yellow rectangle with "text" in it (see screenshot-working.png). When I ...

Re: Render only one document

If the instance of an Editor is being launched in the separate process then there won't be any problems whatsoever. When you are launching it from the same process then their IPXV_Inst is the same, thus the settings for it also are the same for both of the documents. There is a separate post for th...

Re: Changing of the fillcolor for the highlight tool SOLVED

Using the old Viewer SDK this could be done like so: int curStyleID = getProperty("Tools.Highlight.Style").getInt(); String curStylePath = "Commenting.Highlight.Styles[#" + curStyleID + "]."; setProperty(curStylePath + "Opacity", 1.0); setProperty(curStylePath + "BlendMode", "Normal", 0); setPropert...

Re: viewState needed SOLVED

Thank you for your response. We are using the information from viewState to do the following: Given the position of a mouse click, find the exact PDF coordinates the user clicked on (e.g.: (842.0, 595.0) for the very top right corner of a DIN A4 page). Calculating this using the viewState worked pre...
