Re: Shot in the dark: System Handle Leak?

Thanks, Chris. I'm sure it's something else that's the culprit. Sadly, it's going to be almost impossible to fix, and my best option is probably a full reinstall of my OS and all other software (a real PITA <g>).

Shot in the dark: System Handle Leak?

I've been having troubles with something in my system leaking handles associated with the "System" process. I've monitored this with Process Explorer from SysInternals, and I've personally seen the System process amass over 1.5 million handles (in approximately 12 hours). I didn't realize ...

Yup, hence the first comment of my previous message, "The printing problem remains."

Still There

The printing problem remains. This version also has a font display issue. It almost seems to be displaying everything in bold, and rather fuzzy. Here are a couple of screen images: Old (correct): http://www.boxsoft.net/images/pdf/old.png New (fuzzy "bold"): http://www.boxsoft.net/images/pd...

I can send you a link to an 'internal only' Alpha 1.017 build - which is what I am using - could be that some changes made for other issues have resolved this if you would be interested in giving it a spin ? I can test it, if you want, as it might be helpful to know whether it fixes my particular p...

I'm also running XP, with an Epson CX11NF color laser. I haven't checked for later drivers, although this certainly would be the first quirk that I've encountered with the printer (after a year of heavy and varied use). I'll try to find a moment to play with it some more, to see if I can narrow down...

Try printing the attached document (no scaling options). The first two pages print correctly, but the rest format the page at 1/4 size, in the upper-left corner.

Load Speed

The viewer seems to take a long time to load, but it's not quite "consistent". For example, it takes just as long to load on my main machine (AMD FX-60 dual-core) than on my old laptop (P4 1.60GHz). The splash screen is visible for most of the load time. Once it's loaded the first time on ...

Transparent items are not printed that way

Small bug: See the final page of the attached PDF. Note the totals printed over the corresponding bars. When printed, the background of the numbers is white, hiding all but a wee bit of the bars.

BTW, printing with Acrobat Reader works fine.
