Highlight doesn't work

I have a PDF document and want to yellow highlight a section of it, but when I invoke the highlight button and try to select the area, it doesn't select anything. I'm using the paid version of PDF Editor.

Number of copies needs collate set

I suggested this awhile back, but it still hasn't been fixed.

When we print more than one copy, the Collate needs to be automatically set. No one wants to pick out 50 pages and separate them, because it wasn't. Could someone please change that in the program?

Need to modify a legal Affidavit I'm working on

I upgraded to PDF-Xchange Editor recently and don't know my way around, with the more advanced functions yet. I need to modify one page of a legal form, to change some text in it, for what I need for this particular job I'm working on. First, I opened this document, then I OCR'd the page that I need...

Re: Full features of registered version? SOLVED

Thanks for the reply! :)

By the way, when they say maintenance years, where you pay extra, what if I don't? For example, say I pay JUST for this version of the Plus. Will it quit working after 1 year, or will it continue to work, but just not be eligible for upgrades?

Latest update wiped out the program! 7.0.327.1 SOLVED

I've been using the free version for awhile, to try it. The only reason I haven't bought it, has been because the OCR isn't so hot, and I need that for my work. ( home business ) So I just thought I'd update to the 7.0.327.1 and see if that works better. Instead, it wiped out the old version that I ...

How can I set the default zoom at start up at 100%? SOLVED

This is frustrating the heck out of me. When the editor starts, the zoom is like 435% or something. I JUST want the default to be 100% on everything I read with it.

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Hi MamaBear2015, Upon further investigation, it appears that this is actually a Windows feature. Please see here for details on disabling that feature: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-changing-the-default-printer/ Thanks, Oh no. Another Windows 10 problem! Thanks! I just changed...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Hi MamaBear2015, I'm seeing exactly the same thing here - the Editor seems to change the default system printer when the printer is changed in the UI of the Editor. That is obviously not the expected or correct behaviour and I'll pass this along to the Dev. Team to be fixed as soon as possible. Apo...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Hi Mamabear - is the right printer set as your default? It might be as simple as checking what is your default prior to printing - just to make sure it's going to the right place. regards Yes, and it has been the default printer and works with all other software. It's just that when I use THIS soft...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

I'm having another weird problem now. I hadn't used the Dymo label printer in awhile, but printed an address label. THEN when I printed the next document from PDF-X, it printed to the label printer and reeled off a label for each page. I had to go back and set the document to print to the printer ag...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Editing text is only possible if the document has not been secured and if the document contains actual text information, as opposed to images of text. That explains it then, and thanks. This PDF must be saved as an image of text. If I drag the cursor over it, it doesn't select text - that's how I c...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

I just tried to add or edit text on a PDF. Is that only available on the registered version?

Looks like it would have to OCR the PDF image for that to happen, and that sounds tricky with fonts etc.

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Hi MamaBear2015, Thank you for the post. I agree completely with you on this. The collate function should be checked by default when more than one copy will be printed. I have submitted an official feature request. In it, I have included some suggested behavior that will cause the "collate&quo...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Hi MamaBear2015, My apologies - I'd forgotten that I'd set the Editor minimize to the system tray as part of a test, so it looks like I'm seeing the same as you. This option does not appear to be designed to save between sessions. I'll ask the Dev. Team if this can be remembered. **Edit** After spe...

Re: Is there any way to save current print settings as defau

Hi MamaBear2015, Thanks for the post - this should be automatically remembered between sessions, so long as you have previously printed with this option set. If it is not, please make sure that you are using the latest release of the Editor: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVE6.zip I would recommend...

Is there any way to save current print settings as defaults?

I often print more than one copy and need them collated ALL the time, otherwise I have to sort pages out by hand. Is there any way to save the current program print settings with that collate box checked, so that it becomes a default?
