In version 8, if I had a 30 MB document, I could optimize and reduce the PDF to 8-10 MBs. I just downloaded Version 9, and 30 MB only reduced to 28 MB. What happened? I need to optimize to a smaller PDF.

Same thing happened to me; the thumbnail on the left hand side got detached. I can't figure out how to get it back and to center the document between the edge of the thumbnail and the right hand edge.

UPDATE: I WENT TO WINDOWS TAB AND THEN RESET DOCUMENT PANES LAYOUT AND THAT SOLVED IT.

I restarted the computer, same problem, and then I used the line tool and the red circle, those worked. Then I tried typewriter again, and it works! I can now see what I'm typing. Not sure why it works now, but I'll take it!

Just FYI, I downloaded an update yesterday and then had the problem with the # sign which had never happened before as I have had many files with # sign, so it must have been a bug in the latest version.
