Re: Disable Auto Update via GPO
Update: manually running that REG files works fine to install them but I am trying to add the keys through GPO and it is not creating them. Any suggestions?

Disable Auto Update via GPO
Hello All,
Looking for a way to disable auto update via GPO. We deployed PDF XChange Editor 5.5 build 313.1 as part of PDF XChange Pro 2012. Is there simply a registry setting or config file that I can either edit or change so that it will disable the auto updater?
Thanks in advance,
Tucker

Have there been any changes to this? Is the ability to disable AutoUpdate now available? Can it be done through the registry?
Thanks,
Tucker

Re: PDFXChange 2012 IE Plugin not compatible with IE's enha
Disregard....Found the the Enhanced Protected Mode in IE got turned on through a GPO which blocked it. It is under Internet Options>Advanced>Security section and uncheck the box for Enable Enhanced Protected Mode (locally). Gotta go find the GPO now....

PDFXChange 2012 IE Plugin not compatible with IE's enhanced
Hello All, We deployed PDF XChange 2012 Pro just over a month ago. In the last 36 hours I was getting users reporting that they were getting an error when opening IE that stated: PDFXChange 2012 IE Plugin from Tracker Software Products (Canada) Ltd' isn't compatible with Internet Explorer's enhanced...

Re: http://www.tracker-software.com/buy-now on new document.
Thanks Patrick, I will do as you suggested. To me it doesn't really seem as though it is a licensing issue as she is the only user with this problem.
Thanks again,
Tucker

I have a user with a licensed version of PDF XChange Editor 5.5 build 313.1 and they are creating a PDF from a Word Document. Once they save the the new PDF and open it up you see the "watermark" links in the upper right and left of the PDF. I removed the license and re-added it, restarted...

Re: .joboptions file import for settings
Will, Would I need to setup/import the profile in the PDF XChange printer or within PDF Editor or some other place? I am uncertain as this is dealing with the plugin. I am only asking so I know what type of format I need to have the settings in to perform the import whether it be PPS, XLS, etc to tr...

Re: .joboptions file import for settings
Thanks for the info Will. Are we able to export and more specifically import profiles to other machines? Ideally I would like to then make a profile with the setting called "company x" and then import the profile as a default on all licensed computers. Is that possible? I will note that fo...

Stefan, I would tend to disagree as our troubleshooting steps above seem to show otherwise. If you could bring that to the designers attention I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello all, We just moved to PDF XChange 2012 Pro and since we are no longer using Adobe Products I have been tasked with ensuring compatibility. I have been looking for some way to import these settings (the attached file) and cannot find a way. "INSTRUCTIONS ON FULLY EMBEDDING All fonts used w...

Re: Printer setting not being retained in browser
I watched what the user was doing and the PDF is opening fine in the browser. When they go to print it is defaulting to the PDF XChange printer 2012. The user must then change the printer and set it to do secure printing (it does however keep their security code that is set within the printer settin...

Printer setting not being retained in browser
Hello All, We have just recently installed PDF XChange 2012 Pro and have noticed that when a PDF is opened in a browser (Chrome 44.0.2403.107 m and IE 11) the settings for the printer are not being retained when sending the print job. All computers are Win 7 and the printer make and models vary. In ...

Re: Transform file with XChange editor as default for PDFs
Thanks for the reply Patrick. But I am using Orca to create a transform as I am also incorporating a couple other things such as the license key. I am deploying this through Microsoft Intune which does not like any MSI switches hence the reason I am using a transform. So I am still looking for the T...

Transform file with XChange editor as default for PDFs
Hello All,
I am looking for for the edit needed in a transform file to make XChange Editor the default program for PDF files. I am creating the transform with Orca. Can this be done through there or is it recommended to edit this setting through GPO?
Thanks in advance,
Tucker

Transform file with Keydata SOLVED
Good Day Everyone, I am looking to create a transform file using Orca of which I would like to incorporate our KeyData so that we do not have to push it separately. I am using Microsoft Intune to deploy PDF XChange 5 Pro and it does not play well with batch files so that is out of the question. We d...
