I have attached some files to demonstrate my problems (questions) better. The zip contains a file 'Scanning with PDF-XChange' with screendumps. The other files are examples of the scannings.

Hi Will Crop pages, whitespace. The before and after pdf's are identical, - nothing happens. Manual crop works fine. I will prepare a file for you, so you can check if you can crop it. What do you mean " try scanning in e.g. MS Paint and seeing if the effect is the same". MS Paint does not...

Hi Patrick Sigh. I think the logon to the forum timed out, - and I just lost a lot of typing. I will try to be faster this time. I have tried doing things as you suggest. It does not work. Hi Please add one more vore for this. I have just scanned >3000 documents, and skipped the OCR for reasons of efficiency in the process.
