Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
You are correct in the 'Full-blown' versions. Those are closer to the big-boys at a lesser cost. But the Revu version aligns with you. Yes it has a taste of the Higher priced to entice you to buy, if you can use it. What I'm telling you is: If I strike a good enough deal with them, I will buy it. If...

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
My latest is Bluebeam. $200-300 value and has a 'summary' of measurement. It also has costing's, which really doesn't work for the majority of us. It's Interface is confusing and takes quite a bit of time to Master. Basically, it totals all measurements within the group. The total shows up in the (y...

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
To the Editor question;
The interface of Viewer is cleaner.
Give me more adjustment and the simple features of Viewer and I'll switch over.
Till then, I'm on Viewer.

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
From what I have found there are two markets available. The Little Guys; Which you are part of and are best. The Big Boys; Too many to list, but PlanSwift being my current choice. You are correct neither Adobe (I own Pro), Nitro or Foxit (which I do not like at all) do not have the feature. Adobe is...

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
Currently, we have an Export to CSV file feature that should work as a workaround, but I suspect that implementation of this feature may not be as simple as it would seem. Again, I'll speak with the Dev. Team to see if we can do this and can justify it. Please bear in mind that you are the first to ...

API Libray
Not certain here's where I should ask, but I'll start here. I have a need for your program. I've talked about this on other forums. The Excel forum I belong to believes Excel 'could' sniff out the data I require. The question he posed: "or has its own API library then there's no reason that Exc...

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
I'm about to hire a programmer.
His question to me was:
"or has its own API library then there's no reason that Excel can't use VBA to "speak to" the application and pull data back"
So... Do you?

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
I have gone through several (emphasize several) programs attempting to find what I want. I'm back again pleading that you add these features. First is the measuring tool: You allow to measure a lineal one section at a time. What I require is to stop and start (continue) at another point and continue...

Re: Comparing other programs and attempting to decide
The best would be to move that comments list to an Excel Workbook.
But it would have to be Cell specific.
Another program I have tried uses a syntax like this
<began data> placed in a cell to designate where the information goes.
Again, Possible?

Re: Comparing other programs and attempting to decide
Dealing with #1 I have the comments window open, comments named by what I'm taking off. Develops a nice list, but can not 'sum' all the separate footages. I see if I click on a comment, a properties window opens. If I hold 'shift key' and click on another, the window is gone. That could be the answe...

Re: Comparing other programs and attempting to decide
1) Close enough. I'd actually start again in a different detail, but the sum of each area to a single total. 2) Not looking to convert the .Pdf to Excel, just bring the totals from Request #1 into an existing Excel Spreadsheet. 2a) Seems you do have some sort of 'send to CSV file' now. 3) In your pr...

Comparing other programs and attempting to decide
I've trialed several programs. From the Cadillac's to the Beetle. What I have found is that my specialized trade requires a few features. Here's what I require: 1) Measurement must have a continuance. What I mean is, I take off a room, I must be able to move to another room and continue the same mea...

With the 'distance tool', it will show length.
Can the same be done with the 'Area' or 'Perimeter' Tool?

I have managed to build a useful list of of repetitive measuring's we do by subject. Issue is when I come across a new one to add it goes to the end of the list. Is there a way to manage the subjects so That I may add a new one and move it up in order? Currently I'm deleting and re-building everythi...

Tried a few different ways...

Re: renaming measurements
Hi Robert, you can change the subject of both the line tool objects and distance tool objects. Use the Properties Panel to change this for any given object. I think that is what you are looking for? Editor claims to have all the features of viewer plus more. This interested me me until I found it d...

Re: renaming measurements
I am not an expert on using this feature, but I think you may have confused the Line style with the Dimension Line style. I was able to clone the dimension line style and create more styles with different line endings, and set any style as the default for dimension lines — butt endings, reversed ar...

Re: renaming measurements
I have found the difference between Viewer and Editor that is my issue.
And it surprises me that Editor Pro will not do what Viewer does.
Viewer allows me to use a 'custom' subject and save each independently.
Editor does not seem to... or I haven't found the way to do so yet..

Then why does it not show as I renamed it? Let's use the line measurement tool as the example. I right click on the line tool and open the 'Comment styles palate', click on 'Current style', clone it, rename it 'baseboard'. Correct? Now in the 'Comments List' shouldn't it show 'Dimension line- basebo...

renaming measurements
I've sampled viewer and found it lacking in a few areas I require. Editor seems to have more of what I'm after. I'm very close to buying! In measurement, in Viewer, I was limited to 2 renamed categories/subjects. In Editor, this seems to be unlimited. Is this correct? In the free version of Viewer t...

Re: Features I'd like to use, if there
Hi Robert, Thanks for the post, however, I'll need you to be more specific on a couple of the points: Measuring works great and being able to rename the subject works, well (not great, more options would be wonderful and possibly a better side bar).. I'm not really sure what you're looking for here...
